A lot of a compliance officers time is spent on gifts and meals yet the most rewarding part of my Compliance Job is seeing folks refusing gifts. I fully believe there is no more important topic than teaching about gifts.PABhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14620015486092785804noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5378091983859524196.post-58428928913168173142009-01-13T09:09:00.000-08:002009-01-13T09:09:00.000-08:00Sherie, I couldn't agree with you more. If you can only motivate through fear, don't expect a whole lot of success as motivator!Mark Pastinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01176488855209921121noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5378091983859524196.post-69285842386280694392009-01-12T15:00:00.000-08:002009-01-12T15:00:00.000-08:00Thank you Mark Can't agree with you more. So...Thank you Mark Can't agree with you more. So much of what I am hearing seems to be driven by fear of doing something wrong rather than the commitment to do things right. I have been in healthcare Quality & Compliance for more than 14 years - prior to some of the government regulations we have to deal with currently. We understood the need to do what is right not just because "Big Brother-OIG" is looking, but because it was the right thing to do. We relied on good judgement, common sense and integrity to decide what is right and what is wrong. Somehow we need to find that balance again- doing what is right because it is right.Sherriehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02213377520733940699noreply@blogger.com
